The tensile strength of hot-fix strips is comparable to that of reinforced rubber repair strips, but the elongation is more than 6 times higher, which means better flexibility and better fatigue resistance, so they last longer.

The abrasion resistance of hot-fix strips is 2-5 times lower than that of conveyor belt coverings, which means that the average wear resistance is 3 times or more than that of conventional conveyor belt rubber, i.e.: a 2.5 mm thick repair strip has an abrasion life equivalent to 7-10 mm of conveyor belt rubber, so it lasts longer.

The tear strength of the hot-fix strips is more than twice as high as that of conveyor belt cover rubber, which means that they are more resistant to punctures and better resistant to crack expansion, so they last longer.
